My Paris | To Stay

My Paris | To Stay

Paris has so many options to rest your head and tired feet; you just need to find the neighbourhood (and budget) that suits you the best. Decide what you want out of your stay in Paris - do you want easy access to the Louvre? The Eiffel Tower? The old world charm of Le Marais? Paris has everything from super luxe to B+B accommodation so it's up to you whether you decide to splurge on that suite at The Ritz or or settle into the more cosy Hotel des Grand Ecoles.

On our last stay, we stayed in an apartment on the Left Bank in the Quarter Latinnestled high amongst the Parisian rooftops (up 90 or so stairs - perfect for walking off all that fabulous French food!) and close to the famous  Boulevards Saint-Germain and Saint-Michel. We were only a few minutes walk from Notre Dame de Paris but we felt as though we were a million miles away from the hordes of tourists. The apartment was also situated close to a few Metro stops which was really convenient if you were feeling too tired to walk home (or carrying too much shopping!).

We loved strolling along the quieter parts of the Seine, watching the graceful boats glide down the river; we would duck into small boutiques, boulangeries and artisan chocolatiers before heading to a local bar for an aperitif before dinner. To be able to self-cater and have the extra space compared to a typical hotel room was great (believe me, Paris hotel rooms are s.m.a.l.l.); the ability to do laundry when we were travelling for an extended period was a major plus too. We would absolutely stay here again!
