I Believe

I Believe

I believe -- in random acts of kindness; to others and most especially to myself. I believe in being gracious, compassionate and generous. I believe in working hard at parking judgement because while the mind works very hard to make sense of the world it often draws wildly inaccurate and unhelpful conclusions. I believe in softness, forgiveness and curiosity. I believe in skipping the gym, eating the last croissant or sleeping for just that one extra hour if that’s what my body needs. I believe in making space for the important people; they are the ones that help shape and support my universe. I believe in solitude. In living on your own and travelling the world solo when you are young; it allows you to formulate a sense of who you are and even better - who you want to become. I believe in the power of the ocean to right many worries. I believe in loving with abandon but having the wisdom to know when it’s time to stop. I believe in buying the best shoes, coat or bag that I can afford because I am worth the investment. I believe in walking away from bullies, negativity and those who don’t inspire me to become the best version of myself. I believe in loyalty, possibility and hope. I believe in the moments you hit rock bottom and in new beginnings and courageous do-overs -- and most importantly, I believe in me.
